Waterfowl Season 2013 – 14

Posted on by admin

This Saturday marks the opening of the 2013-14 Waterfowl season in North Carolina.  The forecast is calling for highs in the upper 50′s and a low of 42 with a light 5mph WSW wind for northeastern North Carolina.  These weather conditions are not ideal for hunting ducks but long range forecasts are projecting cold temperatures and snow for the latter part of the East Coast Winter.

According to this years Accuweather.com 2013-14 Winter forecast we will be having a slow start with above normal temperatures, one possible snow system and some chilly air at times for November.

Temperatures are expected to fall in January bringing snow to the I-95 corridor and possibly coastal regions.  Areas farther North like Burlington, Vt and above Albany, NY should have an early start to Winter weather helping to push ducks South.

The forecast isn’t great but it’s looking a little better than last year.
